Installing custom window treatments is easier when you follow the right steps from the moment your order arrives. Please review your package first, then choose whether you want to install it yourself or hire a local handyman.

  • Step 1: Inspect Your Package

    When your order arrives, please check the packaging before opening everything.

    Make sure:

    • The box is not severely damaged
    • The product is not bent, cracked, or visibly damaged
    • Hardware and accessories are included
    • The product matches your order details

    If the package or product appears damaged, please take clear photos immediately and contact us before installation. We will help you handle any shipping damage and make sure the issue is resolved properly.

  • Option 1: Install It Yourself

    If you are comfortable with basic home projects, you can install most products yourself by following our installation videos step by step.

    Before starting, please prepare the right tools. We strongly recommend using an impact driver for a secure and efficient installation.

    You may also need:

    • Measuring tape
    • Pencil
    • Level
    • Drill bits
    • Screws and anchors, if needed
    • Ladder
    • Stud finder

    For any side-mount or ceiling-mount installation, the hardware must be mounted into studs or solid backing whenever possible. This is especially important for drapery tracks, wide shades, heavy products, or any product that carries significant weight.

    Do not rely only on drywall for heavy side-mounted or ceiling-mounted products.

  • Option 2: Hire a Handyman

    If you prefer not to install the products yourself, we recommend hiring a local handyman.

    You can find local installers through:

    • Thumbtack
    • Local handyman services
    • Social media community groups
    • Referrals from neighbors or friends
    • Our customer service team, if we have local installer recommendations in your area

    When booking a handyman, please share our installation videos with them before the appointment. Even if the handyman has experience, they should still follow our product-specific installation steps.

    Typical installation costs may vary by location, product size, and installation difficulty. As a general reference:

    • Small shades: around $30 per shade
    • Large drapery with track: around $70-$80 per installation

    For oversized products, ceiling-mounted tracks, high windows, difficult wall conditions, or installations that require extra support, the cost may be higher.
